Then, the kitchen sequence takes over, and a torrent of foul language and horrific imagery involving produce and foodstuffs kicks in. The initial set-up looks like something that could have easily been made into a PG / PG-13 laugh fest that could barely play with the kiddos, but definitely hit the teenage demographic's sweet spot.

While the concept to Sausage Party seems a bit flat on paper, seeing it brought to raunchy life through this first trailer is absolutely hysterical. And what's a journey without a colorful cast of teammates, such as Kristen Wiig's Brenda the hot dog bun or Edward Norton's Sammy Bagel Jr? However, in a downright brilliant move, the portal might allow Seth Rogen to come up with a funny follow up to Sausage Party 2 that hits theaters much faster than you.

Though Rogen's sausage is forced on a bit of a journey when he's separated from his comrades, and brought face to face with truth about what purpose he really serves. So obviously, the various sausages in the market are excited at the prospect of going home with some lucky consumer, and Frank's (Seth Rogen) pack of sausages – consisting of co-stars Jonah Hill, and Michael Cera – are one of those lucky packs. He just wants to know where hes from, and hell go on one of. When a sausage falls out of a grocery cart in the middle of the market, everything he knows about his life is called into question. Sausage Party takes place in a supermarket during their annual 4th of July sale. Sausage Party DVD and Blu-ray release date was set for Novemand available on Digital HD from Amazon Video and iTunes on November 1, 2016. Ah well. Thanks to Seth Rogen himself, we have our first look at what could be the sleeper hit of August. Do sausages and maple syrup go together? I have no idea, I’m a vegetarian, and thus losing an opportunity for a potentially great final quip. Seth Gordon, of “ Horrible Bosses” and “ Identity Thief,” will direct, but reader, I cannot tell a lie: when I first read the Deadline headline I thought it was about Jason Statham, not Segel, and ever since I realized my mistake I haven’t been quite so excited about the concept. In other food comedy news, Deadline reports that Jason Segel has signed on to a comedy (“with dramatic overtones”) about Canadian maple syrup thieves, based on the real story reported last year that made headlines around the world. No word yet on whether “Sausage Party” is going to cast any women… But even if it isn’t, this sounds like a fun project, even if adult-oriented animation is notoriously difficult to pull off. There is a Greg Tiernan on IMDb who is the director of numerous “ Thomas The Tank Engine” animated movies, and if this is the man who is making an adult comedy with Seth Rogen about processed meat tubes, then we can all die happy. Variety is reporting that Rogen has linked up with Sony and Annapurna Pictures to get this sausage party on the grill, under the direction of Vernon and one Greg Tiernan. What it didn’t have was the funding to give it the go-ahead…
#SAUSAGE FEST SETH ROGEN MOVIE#
It has a concept-it’s an R-rated animated movie about a talking sausage who, with his other supermarket produce buddies, has to get back onto the shelves before Independence Day’s BBQs hit- and it has actors-the voices of Rogen, frequent collaborator Jonah Hill and long-time voice actor Conrad Vernon. Way back when in 2010, we revealed that Seth Rogen was planning a flick called “ Sausage Party,” (then called “ Sausage Fest“) and while that sounds like the kind of thing Seth Rogen just says, it has become clear that “Sausage Party” was more than an idle fancy over the past couple of years.
